On 11th September the Jewish Curriculum Partnership (JCP) held its annual update to head teachers and heads of department from many of its 35 partner primary schools. JCP, which is now working within Partnerships for Jewish Schools (PaJeS), a division of the JLC, supports schools in their teaching of Jewish Studies and Ivrit through the provision of curricula and resources, training and an in-school advisory service. Following lunch where participants had the chance to network and view resources, the JCP team presented its plans for the year ahead. Highlights of the presentation included a preview of Mesilot L’Hashem, the new multimedia resource for teaching Tefillah and details of the training programme which will support the Ivrit resource Ivritbeclick, which is now used by approximately 30 schools across the UK. Participants also heard how JCP was intending to build on its Chumash and Parashat Hashavua projects and were given an outline of the aims and first-year plans of PaJeS.
