This year, the Maccabi GB Community Fun Run, one of the biggest cross communal events engaging 3,000 members of the community, will be taking place under the brand new ‘roof’ of Allianz Park, a world class sports facility in the heart of North West London.
The event offers 3 distances to cater for everyone. Participants can run/walk/jog/crawl either the 10km, 5km or 1km – with a brand new and exciting route, beginning and ending inside the stadium.
Maccabi GB is delighted to announce that this year’s event has just broken the event record for number of charities taking part. 43 charitable organisations will be involved on the 22nd June, including an impressive 10 charities who are taking part for the first time. We believe this is a fantastic opportunity for us as a community to highlight the importance of Tzedakah.
The vibrant atmosphere will be ongoing, with a constant buzz throughout the day in the Charity Fair and Fun Zone, with activities to entertain the whole family; including arts and craft activities, a bouncy castle, penalty shoot out, and so much more.
The registration fee is £15 per adult, £10 per child and £40 for a family of 4. Registration is completed online through our website www.communityfunrun.org/register, where you can also find general information about the day and information on all participating charities and organisations.
Maccabi GB’s Events Coordinator, Emma Nagli, spoke about the new-look Maccabi GB Community Fun Run:
We are so excited to be hosting the 8th Maccabi GB Community Fun Run at Allianz Park. This new venue allows for more runners, more spectators and more ways to help support fantastic Jewish causes. We encourage everyone within the Community to take part in some way and, whether you run the 10km, 5km or 1km, you will be making a big difference.”
