We are asking you to encourage all synagogue movements to send memorial prayers out to their shuls, and to encourage people to take their pictures of people reciting these memorial prayers and upload them to a central location, from which we can distribute them. The aim is that we will be able to start capturing images of prayers as early as tomorrow mornings Shacharit.
We have created a Facebook page, called “Remembering the Har Nof victims” to which photos can be uploaded and that we will use to make this a viral campaign. https://www.facebook.com/events/915760295103161/?context=create&previousaction=create&source=49&sid_create=1278615705
The message on the page is the one that should be sent out to all shuls.
Suggested wording is as follows:
“Five people were killed on Tuesday in Har Nof, Jerusalem whilst at prayer including A policeman who was killed trying to protect them. The dreadful images of people slain in the act of worship have been awful to see.
Special memorial prayers are being sent to all synagogues and places of worship across the country, and we are asking people to upload their pictures of our community reciting these prayers over the next few days. Let the world see our memorial to those who were killed and how peaceful prayer and reflection is the way that we remember this terrible event”
Let’s use all our networks to get this out.
Thank you for your help.
