On February 11th, Lead hosted the 3rd Adam Science Alumni Leadership Drive. The aim of the drive is to introduce Adam Science Alumni, who have been on an intensive year long lay leadership development programme, to representatives from a wide range of communal organisations, so that they can explore which organisations they’d like to become involved in.
A packed room full of AS Alumni and representatives from 14 communal organisations attended, and the guests heard first from a panel of alumni who shared their tips for choosing the right lay role with their peers. Then, in true speed dating style, alumni chatted with a number of organisations, being regularly buzzed to move on to the next…
Organisations were looking for a wide range of skills, and some were looking to fill Trustee or Governor positions. Many connections were made and every organisation came away with details of at least one alumni to follow up with – Jewish Care took the record for following up with 7 of our alumni, finding them each specific roles or projects to suit their particular skills!
One Trustee commented “Thank you for giving us the opportunity to meet so many impressive young people with real drive and commitment to take on leadership in our community.”
