On the 20th May 2015, 50 communal professionals and current and aspiring lay leaders from 33 organisations attended the first session of Leading In for 2015 at the Jewish Museum, Camden.
Each participant attended one workshop and then heard from a masterclass panel consisting of Simon Levine, Global Co-CEO DLA Piper, Gillian Merron, CEO Board of Deputies and Nigel Rothband, COO BEN (Chaired by Lead Co-Chair Miles Webber) about their leadership journey, along with their top tips for leadership. It was a fascinating session that had the audience engaged from start to finish. You can read about the masterclass panelists here and the masterclass top tips by clicking here.
The workshops that ran during the evening were:
- Achieving a mind-set of excellence –Michael Cohen
- Build your professional brand using social media –Karen Ackerman
- Developing your personal leadership –Roby Blass
- Thinking strategically –Pam Goldsmith
Having listened to feedback from previous Leading In events the workshop sessions were extended to 80 minutes which allowed participants enough time to delve deeper into their chosen session.
As well as having the chance to learn from these presenters, there was scheduled time for networking between the participants which was well received and created a great buzz and energy at the event.
We are delighted to announce that the next session will take place on 11th November 2015, location TBC, focussing on organisational leadership. To register your interest, please contact Laurence Rosenthal at Laurence@thejlc.org.
