From its early days, the JLC tried to find ways for its members – and other Jewish organisations – to save money. The most successful of these ideas has been helping our members make better and more efficient purchases.
Jewish charities and organisations have to buy paper and toner, office equipment and electricity, stationery and mobile phones. In the first stage of our purchasing project, we brought in consultants who worked with our members to find them cheaper suppliers. This stage brought savings in excess of £750,000 – money that can now be used by these charities to support their core work.
For the latest phase of this project, we recently launched the JLC Purchasing Club, which offers an even wider range of top-quality services for great value for money. The club uses the combined purchasing power of Jewish organisations to lower prices for everyone. Run by our Procurement Coordinator Marshall Hoffman, it is open primarily to JLC Member organisations and Jewish Schools (who also have major purchasing needs!).
If your organisation is interested in participating in the programme, please contact the JLC Office.

In response to requests from smaller and medium sized charities, together with Jewish schools, this scheme is being relaunched …
