Ruth Green

Ruth’s background was in RSY Netzer and went on to be their northern field worker. Following this she worked for Alyth Synagogue as their youth and community worker. Ruth has been a senior accredited counsellor for the last twenty five years and works at King Alfred School and in private practice.

Ruth is a trustee at UJIA and on the Israel Experience Bursary Allocations committee, involved with Israel tour retention and research about Gap year as well as spearheading a grassroots campaign to launch in May called a Tenner for Tour.

Ruth is co-chair of the UJIA Lead Now advisory board which is a professional development programme for youth movement workers and UJS sabbaticals.

She is involved in the JLC’s Women in Leadership Commission and with Jewish volunteer network. Ruth holds a critical leadership role in the development of the New Leadership Network. Recently Ruth became an advisor to Spread a smile, a charity which brings entertainers to long term care children’s wards in hospitals. She is standing for co-chair of Highgate United Synagogue.
