David Ereira

David has been involved in communal activities for over 30 years from youth leadership work as a young teenager through to fundraising for social care organisations. He set up Young Norwood in 1993 that has since become one of the communities leading young volunteer and fundraising groups reaching over 2000 affiliates. He has recently concluded the first Young Strategic review within the community for Norwood engaging young professionals in the strategic road mapping of Norwood. David is currently Chairman of Norwood’s Board of Trustees and its advisory Council.

David is also currently serving as Vice President of S & P Sephardi Community where he has been a Trustee for the past two years.
His communal expertise lies in child social care, learning disabilities and Special Educational Needs (SEN). He has spearheaded on behalf of the JLC the SEN task force group for PaJes and organised the first, oversubscribed, cross-communal SEN conference in 2012.

Currently David is a founder member of the NLN and continues to play a part in the nurturing of young lay talent within the community to signpost appropriate roles for candidates in all communal positions. Also David takes a great interest in Israel advocacy and is a member of the Advisory Council of the Jerusalem Botanical Gardens with an interest in cross communal activities and social inclusion.

Previous communal posts include Governor of King Solomon High School, and Member of the Advisory Board of Chabad Lubavitch UK. Member of the Independent Jewish Adoption Panel and Management Committee.

David is a creative thinker and believes in the unity of cross communal work and trying to find a balance of harmony in order to deliver beneficial outcomes to all stakeholders through partnership working.

David is founding partner of boutique property investment agency Ereira Mendoza and looks after private clients and family offices from their London base and with their associated offices in Tel Aviv.

Married to Joanne with three grown up children.
