Having recently completed an MBA with a focus on senior lay-professional relationships within the UK Jewish community, Michelle’s links to leadership training and development stretch back 20 years to her time growing up in RSY-Netzer learning on their gap year including the Machon and throughout her time in the movement. She was inspired to develop her skills in informal education after studying for a BSc (Hons) in Multi-Media Technology and formalised her education training with a PGCE in Secondary ICT. She worked as a Head of Department in Harrow for a number of years, successfully bringing back teacher training placements to her school and was seconded to Middlesex University as a lecturer on the PGCE ICT course. After a break to enjoy the arrival of her children, she returned to work for Masorti Judaism as their Operations Director and spent 5 years managing programming, events and volunteer development including the movement’s latest series of Listening Campaigns running across communities to build relationships within and across their synagogues. In her role as Programmes and Consultancy Director at Lead she looks forward to the next step in her leadership journey to develop the work she has begun in her MBA research and to extend her reach across a wider part of the UK Jewish community.
