Update on Recent Political Meetings

Over the past month the Jewish Leadership Council has engaged in a series of critical meetings with significant figures from both the political sphere and law enforcement agencies. These included discussions with the new Home Secretary James Cleverly, Shadow Secretary of State for International Development Lisa Nandy, Leader of the House of Commons Penny Mordaunt, and Chairman of the Conservative Party Jeremy Wright MP. In addition to these high-profile political engagements, alongside numerous other meetings with elected officials from both sides of the aisle, the JLC also met with representatives from the Metropolitan Police and the British Transport Police. The focus of these meetings centered around tackling antisemitism and bolstering community safety. Through fostering dialogues with key political figures and law enforcement agencies, the JLC is actively working to ensure the safety and well-being of the community in this difficult period.
