The Adam Science Leadership Programme 2025-26 has lift-off!
The 2025–26 Adam Science Leadership Programme, delivered by the Jewish Leadership Council and Lead, officially launched with a two-day residential at The Manor Hotel in Elstree. This gathering marked the first opportunity for our new cohort of 18 emerging Jewish lay and professional leaders from across the community to connect and begin exploring their personal visions of leadership, both individually and within the broader context of building a vibrant Jewish community.
Participants engaged with a range of inspiring speakers from the Jewish communal world, including Jon Boyd (Institute for Jewish Policy Research), Vicky Fox (Co-Chair of New North London Synagogue and CEO of the UK Supreme Court), Rabbi Miriam Lorie (Kehillat Nashira), Sam Clifford (CEO of Jewish Women’s Aid), Laurence Field (CEO of Gateways), and Joshua Marks (Chair of the Jewish Youth Fund). We’re incredibly grateful to each of them for sharing their time and insights.
Special thanks also go to leadership consultant Michelle Janes for co-facilitating the residential alongside programme director Nick Young. Most importantly, we recognize and celebrate the commitment and talent of this exceptional group of future leaders, all dedicated to strengthening and sustaining the UK Jewish community.
We are very excited to support them on their leadership journey over the coming year.

Quotes from participants:
“After only two days of this year-long programme, I feel energised and equipped to be a better leader in my community. It was inspiring to be surrounded by peers who have chosen to commit themselves to the continued development of Jewish communal life; and to be reminded that our greatest Jewish leaders understood this choice as both a responsibility and a privilege.” (Jessie Kolvin, Westminster Synagogue)
“Attending the ASLP residential was an incredible start to this journey. It was inspiring to meet and connect with such a talented and passionate cohort, each bringing unique perspectives and experiences. The residential provided us with practical tools and valuable insights to enhance our leadership capabilities. Thank you to Nick and Michelle for their thoughtful guidance and for organising such a productive and engaging residential.” (Joel Azulay, BNJC)
“Following the Adam Science Programme residential, I feel inspired and energised for my future as a communal leader. To be in a room full of people all desiring to grow and develop is very special. To have the opportunity so hear from many important and experienced communal leaders in one space within such a short time period was absolutely incredible.” (Benji Garfield, Camp Simcha)
“I'm extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to spend 2 days with a wonderful cohort of likeminded leaders. I've already learnt so much from them and look forward to continue learning how to lead with them further throughout the year ahead.” (Nicole Levy, Kisharon Langdon)
