Dangoor Senior Leadership group experience the “magic” of Windsor Leadership
Our cohort of communal lay and professional leaders on the Dangoor Senior Leadership Programme (DSLP) have just completed an enriching and transformational two-day residential with Windsor Leadership on the stunning Windsor Castle estate. Over the course of the retreat, participants explored their own key challenges in community leadership, considered broader challenges facing the community, and deepened their connections with one another. Expertly guided by the Windsor Leadership team, the group also heard from a programme alum, Melbourne Barrett, CEO of Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing and former CEO of Nottingham City Council, who shared valuable insights and experiences—sparking thoughtful conversations and meaningful reflection.
Alumni of the programme talk of the “magic” of the Windsor Leadership retreat, which features action learning sets and deep personal reflection. This was also a phrase that we heard from the current cohort who were profoundly appreciative of the time to pause and consider their leadership in the company of their peers and Windsor’s facilitators.
An enormous thanks to DSLP co-directors Michelle Janes and Larry Shulman, the team and facilitators at Windsor Leadership, the staff of Cumberland Lodge who took excellent care of us and above all, our 18 senior leaders who continuously demonstrate their willingness and commitment to strengthen themselves as leaders, their organisations and our community as a whole.
The next stage for the group will be initial meetings with their DSLP coaches, before online and in-person workshops in June and July.
We look forward to working with the group on the next phases of their journey. For more information about the programme, go to https://www.thejlc.org/dangoor.
